 Life changing August 27, 2008
If only we had read this book years ago, we would likely have resolved conflict quicker and easier. This book gives some basic tools for development of close loving relationships, what we all long for. It first helps identify bad patterns of behavior, so when you see your interaction deteriorating, it becomes easy to correct and repair the damage. We don't recommend the workbook, but the book and DVDs are excellent and easy to read. Besides hard to put down...

This book lays out the genetic relationship code with which we were created by God. With this knowledge it is possible to build and repair relationships.

This book is one of my very few deserted island books. (Had I only space for ten, this would be one of them.) It has changed the way I relate to others in many ways. I know that my marriage and other important relationships in my life are already improving based on Smalley's principles. It is, as he suggests, a "Marriage Intensive" in book form. I'm learning, with practice, to create safe relationships, take good care of myself to bless others, and take personal responsibility for my relationships. It's amazing what this book has done for my perspective, and that, my friends, is worth 5 stars. It is well written and well organized, sprinkled with personal experiences that are particularly applicable. I intend to give this book to others, which is rare for me, since I feel reading material is a very personal choice. I hope I've conveyed how strongly I recommend this groundbreaking work! Thank you for your time.
Premarital counseling November 12, 2007
This book has been great as part of our premarital counseling! Great for understanding the dynamics of our own relationship, as well as our relationships with family members and friends. It's sparked lots of discussions. We highly recommend it.

This is a powerful, life changing book! I encourage everyone on this planet to read this book. It works and I am seeing it at work in myself and my relationships already. Please get it for yourself and share it. Applying the truth in this book can help us become "Real" to our "Macher - Maker", ourselves, and one another. We need to return to a relationship based society.
