From the supplier: A study which proposed that resource scarcity and administrative efficiency were the primary reasons why firms offer franchises was evaluated. Franchising either frees resources necessary for corporate growth or lessens agency and transaction costs. It was suggested that instead of using franchising strategies based on stereotypes, franchisors should develop strategies based on their particular conditions and situation.
