suppose i hav a profitable business already (in U.S.). its service oriented. i'd like to franchise.
if i apply for Trademark Registration, is there anything different to do???

a Trademark Attorney confused me by telling: if you're planning to franchise your business there 'might be' some other requirements in registering trademark.

i didn't find that point rational. i believe - Trademark reg is completely an
indep matter....

however, anyone can help me out with the matter?

Our company registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. There's no difference in the registration process. The only difference is you need an agreement between the company that owns the trademark and the company that's doing the franchising that lets the franchise company use the mark in its franchise program. That agreement is between the two companies and isn't filed with anyone. Hope this helps.
