Default Cybercafe

How much money would you need before entering a cybercafe franchise deal? what are the downside in setting this business up? Is this business still viable nowadays? Since most household have their own computer and the affordable fast internet connection.

That's what I'm thinking too. But cybercafe may still be viable if you're offering multi-player or interactive games. Kids nowadays are very fond of that. I know some people even skip school just to do that.

vngrape, youre right! kids nowadays are very fond in online games. However investing in an online games cybercafe also comes with a big investment e.g. upgrading your computer memory and video card to support high needs of online games. Aside from those hardware enhancement you need to invest also for a software to monitor user time usage.

With a Cyber Cafe theres always the cafe side of it to make money too. If you have more kid customers adjust your menu to suit them more. All night gaming tournaments are popular too but you might want to hire someone for those shifts so you can be at home in bed.

My cousin’s boyfriend has his own cyber café. He started off with just around ten computers and now I think he has twenty. I think it would be best to have an estimate how much per computer would cost.

It is still very visible as long as you will offer a reasonable charge per hour. As long as there are online games to get addicted to, there will be a lot of customers.

Make sure you charge a reasonable rate per hour. There are a lot of new online games and kids are very much into it that’s why cybercafe are still very much active these days.

A cybercafe is a great idea but it is somehow costly because you need to have a computer with nice specs so that it will be able to cater for online gaming.

If you are thinking or worrying about the need to regularly upgrade your computers, think that you don't have to buy new computers to do that. You must only know which hardware or parts needed to be upgraded the most depending on the computer services you're offering, then you could prioritize.

Whether a cybercafe is a good investment would depend on your prospective site. Usually when an investment clicks, many people would follow. If you're into gaming then you should be prepared to cater with at least 10 units; however, take into consideration that games are very fast evolving. So periodic upgrades are needed.
