Torrance-based Yoshinoya America Inc., the Japanese restaurant chain's U.S headquarters, serves Japanese fast food such as its beef, chicken and shrimp bowls. Despite the recession, Yoshinoya America is expanding, with plans to open 13 new stores in Southern California by the end of this year.
