Default worries about posible food posioning from a major

franchise? today i went to one of my favorite fast food places. i ordered a chicken sandwich. i ate about half of it and noticed the middle was pretty much raw...warm but raw. i took the sandwich back and notified the manager and was refunded and apologized to, but i am very worried i will get very sick. i am also about 2 months pregnant, im worried about my baby. i know its possible for me to get salmonella or Echoli or something, will it harm my baby? and i'm also wondering if i do become ill if i should seek legal action? i did keep the sandwich.

If you are sick, it will happen within a few hours. If you feel okay tomorrow, you should be okay. Meanwhile, drink lots. Remember that the chicken was most likely frozen and precooked. If you get sick, call your doctor Monday and ask for instructions. Meanwhile, drink tons of water.

You shouldn't worry until you feel sick to your stomach. If you do, go to the emergency room right away and inform them about the sandwich. Proving where you got food poisoning is really hard, trust me, I tried. The fast food chains are the hardest to fight for help over this. If you have to go to the hospital, call the fast food place and inform the manager you are doing so. Tell him you have the sandwich and are having it tested. This will lead him to calling corporate which in turn will contact their lawyers. Thats ok though because they will right off the bat wait until you get results then pounce. If in fact it is food poisoning you have to prove negligence. Second hurdle. The hardest one. IF this place has a history of this, then it is easy to prove as long as they were reported. Check the local health department and the Better Business Bureau. BBB.orgGood Luck. Thank goodness we don't have avian flu here....yet.

I agree w/ fungusbrains1... the chicken was probably precooked so all they usually have to do is heat it up. I would drink alot of water and call the doc on monday morning. I don't think you have to be too worried about yourself or you baby1 everything should turn out fine.

first of all i so sorry that happened to you i work with food and people arent as carefull as they should . i think hadit been me i would have forced myself to vomit, but i know oyu are in a delicate situation. i hope eerything is okay and that your stomach is strong enough to bypass any sickness that could happen. my advice is try not to eat out right now i know its probably easier said thandone but eat home cooked or prepare your meals at home to be on the safe side.. ok .

1st of all it may take up to 72 hours for it to kick in if u have food poisoning. You will know if u are sicker then normal for being pregnant. If you can't hold anything down for more then 24 hours seek immediate medical attention.

Hold on.... you are stressing yourself and your baby...90% od what we worry about never happens...1. I think you caught it in time...before you ate the uncooked part.2. Call your Dr. on Monday and ask for a second opinion.3. Worry can make your blood pressure shoot up and make you sick...relax and breathe4. Cross the bridge when you get to it.5. Call your county health dept, their food inspector will not be happy about this joint with the uncookded chicken center.6. Sue? skip it and the stress... I doubt a lawyer would take the case... small claims? save your energyYou are going to be ok.... ok?
