Re: any advise investing in a franchise?
If you're interested in exploring the possibility of investing in a franchise, but are at the stage where you're not even sure what industry, much less what company, you want to evaluate... then really you're at square one and have a lot of research to do. In general, the franchise business model is a very proven and reliable approach to business ownership. However, there are plenty of horror stories out there as well. As with anything you need to consider that you're going to be dumping 50-60 hours a week of your time into the business (assuming you're successful) and thus maybe one of the most important starting factors to consider is what you enjoy doing? i.e. if you can't stand fast food, then don't bother looking into the franchises for that vertical. If you happen to be passionate about pizza, great... there's a dozen or so good possibilities there to consider. The point is... in your quest to evaluate what the "best" franchise is to invest in, keep in mind that the answer is extremely subjective and depends, at least in part, on what you want to spend your time doing day in and day out.
