...out a franchise with a driving school? My boyfriend is currently looking into trainign to be a driving instructor. I was quite surprised by the inital cost of the exams he needs to take. I wondered if anyone knows how much it would then cost to take out a franchise with a driving school like the AA or BSM to get started.

I should think your boyfriend will be content to start work as a self employed Driving Instructor with BSM etc. I'm surprised he is taking the exams on his own - I thought BSM etc. had their own training schemes and would help towards the exam costs ...If you want to buy a Franchise (a ready made Business) you are looking at 10's if not 100's of thousands - and (you would never guess this), but if you REALLY want to know, you really should ask the Driving School that is selling franchises.
