Default why do people order franchise pizza?

Pizza hut, papa johns, dominos etc? Do they like paying too much for bad pizza?

I would never order franchise pizza, to me it don't taste right. I rather have a home-made pizza from a privitaly owned pizza restaurant.

I agree with your sentiment - pizza chains are not superb. However, I've found myself ordering the chain for multiple reasons. 1. I know what they have and know what to expect. 2. It might be the only place I'm aware of that delivers. 3. I'm too tired, or engrossed in a game, to think so I order the first thing that comes to mind. That's just the tip of the ice burg, it's not about the pizza - it's about the convenience.

Some prefer it like that- it is easy, quick and some places actually do make good pizzas. I prefer to order it when I dont want to cook, but since that is rare i usually order from the local pizza joint here in town instead of like pIzza hut- theirs isnt all that great and the local joints make them homemade and give you more toppings. I know it seems like a waste to some, but it is no more of a waste than going to the bar on a Friday night or buying a special jar of mayo because you just like it.Personal preference

Umm....I think that Pizza Hut, Paps John's, and Dominos all have GREAT pizza! I'm not seeing the problem with ordering from them, because usually they have really good specials, too.

I love pizza of all kinds, homemade, from a chain, from a local place, even crappy frozen pizzas. Sometimes having a pizza delivered is too good to pass up. I think the chain place's pizzas are pretty good. And if you always use coupons or get a special, it's usually not too expensive, either. Also, keep in mind that some small towns might only have a franchise to get pizza from, and it might be the only place in town that delivers.

Because sometimes it is the only game in town. Small towns, outside of the northeast don't normally have little mom and pop pizzerias, so your only choice is a Pizza Hut or a Domino's. On the other hand, they may like it!I am not much of a Pizza Hut fan, but Domino's has greatly improved both their product and service in the past few years."Bad" pizza is usually a matter of opinion, and can be considered somewhat snobbish. I'd know. I still think I can make a better pie, but I dont' turn my nose up at the idea of someone ordering a pizza.Pizza in the United States is a 31.2 BILLION dollar industry (FY2006). The top 25 franchise (actually chains, because not all stores are franchised) pizza companies account for 50.53% of sales (15.8 billion dollars). Chains must be doing SOMETHING right, eh?
