Any commercial cleaning franchise owners had trouble from IRS using

Independent Contractors in their business? I recently invested in a commerial cleaning franchise business, and I want to use cleaners as Independent Contractors, rather than employees, not sure what kind of issues I might encounter with IRS. Any suggestions?
