It looks like I got invoved in a Franchise that says it is a license and is violating state and federal laws. I did not discover this till now that I am not getting any work due to the fact that they have all calls for my territory going to their 800 number and are not referring them to me. They are also doing work in my territory. All the specialists in Franchising ang attorneys that i have spoken to say I have a solid case BUT I signed the agreement in June of 03. I was devasted to hear that there is a statute of limitation and that I might be beyond it. Is this true? What can i do. How can I recupperate my loses? Also is there any one out there that can recommend an attorney for this? I have spent several hundred thousand dollars in inventory sweat and tears. This business was sold to me as a nationally recognized Brand name with a proven method. They knew it was to be our families only income. They promised to guide me till it was successful and that my biggest problem would be finding time to fill all the orders. Brand is not recognized much, proven method does not workin the territory they sold. I was the first licensee. There is one other now that I know of. They discourage us from speaking.
