Anyone familiar with this company? How is an affiliate license differ from a franchise?

Are they legit? There were various links that came up from a google search that showed some concerning info.......jobvent.com said "running a scam" and "duping franchisees".........MD consent order against the founder..........and on watchlist in CA.

They pitch a good story, but couldn't you work directly with a similar firm without having to pay such a high fee upfront?

Checking them out and interested, but got nervous when doing the research online.

Interesting info and didn't realize all the things you listed.........be leary, have worked with this group for awhile and considered leaving. They are shady and have lied about a lot of things they promised. Wouldn't recommend them!

Few tidbits:
* Affiliate means you are not restricted by location or area compared to a franchise.......and they will gladly put another affiliate in your backyard which hurts your chances of deals

* Struggled to do any deals despite what was pitched..........and have talked to other groups with similar experience

* Their main motivation is selling affiliate licenses vs. doing actual deals..........where they make their money! More salespeople selling licenses than support people supporting those on board.

* High internal turnover and the comments on jobvent.com do not surprise me.

* Hard to get a straight answer out of anyone at HQ........talk a good game, but never really know what is going on.
