...What have you got for me ? No scams. I am doing a research project for a client who is interested in working from home. She is very open to new ideas, but doesn't want to deal with wading through all the scams in order to find one good opportunity. Here is what I have done so far:-checked the SBA website-checked home based business laws-looked on a few websites for actual work from home job openingsShe is open to both home based business and actual home employment. She is looking to make 400-500 dollars a month. Her special skills include lots of handiwork and a wide range of job experience. I will give anybody who is just using this to make a sales pitch a bad rating.

As a Direct Sales' representative, myself, I have several things to say on this subject. First, if she is looking for a home-based business that IS a direct sales' business (like Tuppeware, Home Interiors, etc.) she will need to know that she will still have to spend some of her "at home" time placing her orders through the company website, packaging, making sure her hostess & customer packets are put together, making customer care calls & hostess coaching calls, to name just a few. In other words, if she needs to make a certain income, then she'll have to be self-motivated to go out and get the business. Second, the thing to watch out for in Direct Sales is how long the company has been established (do they have a good track record) as well as if they are a member of the DSA (direct sales association), if not, chances are they're not THAT well established and becoming a consultant for them could be risky business. Also, a great place to check around for information is the DSWA (direct selling womens' alliance). There is a TON of information for someone wanting to start a direct sales' business. Many times, a self-motivated person can make an extremely good income doing a direct sales' business. She should check out several of the companies who are members of the DSA, and see which might fit her personality the best.I hope this was helpful. If you want to ask me more, feel free. I have been in direct sales, with the same company, for over three years, and have been quite succesful, working it along-side my family's needs.SharBSmith

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, for your client but check this website I have made alot of money with them. I can only speak from experience and with them you won't have to put up money up front. There is a presentation on the website the best thing is to look at that and see if your client wants to do that type of at home business. Here is the link. www.ytb.com/justperfectvacations

Not a sales pitch, but I have a wah wholesale business. I sell products to you at wholesale prices, and you sell them at retail through parties, mall kiosks, flea markets,or just lay the catalog down and let people see the products. you can view my website here: http://mysite.verizon.net/resvs5ka/rrwdIf this is not an option for you, then may I suggest a search of wahm sites. These are usually pretty dependable and have alot of resources on them. They offer thousands of work at home opportunities. just type wahm in google search and the best come up first. Good luck!

I am not sure what kind of information your client is looking for in regards to a home-based business. The home-based business that I know of has been around for 50 years. All non-toxic products and completely health-concious products. You will likely get many differnt responses, but please know that this business has never had any recalls, or been reported for products that don't work. Well known company. Has been recognized by the whitehouse as well as serves as an environmental steward. ihaveaplan.com

Hi! As to your inquiry about a home based business for your client, I am happy to share my experience with you. The business I am building is with Arbonne International, the leading health & wellness network marketing company. The products range from baby care to anti-aging skin care to aromatherapy to nutrition, and much more. I found this company quite by accident, I wasn't looking for a home business. However, once I started using the products, I did my research and explored a few other businesses and decided that this was the one for me. It is a well-established company with low start up costs and a fair and generous compensation plan depending on the size business you'd like to create ($400-500/month is very doable). There are no territories and you can build a network of consumers or build a team anywhere in the US (and soon entering international market). The team atmosphere and training is wonderful, you're in business for yourself but not by yourself. It is work but something I can do at my own pace. Staying home with my toddler is my #1 job! I do not wish for you to believe this to be a sales pitch, so I won't post my website. Please let me know through this message board if you would like any more information. Thanks!

Hi! I suggest you also interview successful home-based business entrepreneurs instead of getting general info. Experience is the best teacher. I am not sure what city you or your client lives in, otherwise I'd recommend attending an upcoming seminar where you could meet such a person (who also happens to be a bestselling author). If not, I can pass you a name and refer you to his book. That might help with your research. Drop me a note if you're interested so I can send you details. Otherwise I'll assume you got your answer from the community already.

You can earn up to $500 or more every week working your own hours at your own home with GDI. I do!How much you make depends on how much you work, so compensation is virtually unlimited. It's a perfect opportunity for stay at home parents, disabled persons, students, those with unpredictable hours at a first job that make it difficult to get a second job, or anyone else looking to make extra income. You need to be self-motivated and have a real desire or a need to work flexible hours at home. I do this part time; however, you can work part or full time, during hours of your choice. I have a webpage you can check out if you're interested: http://www.freedom.ws/llou2u/show_dvdGood luck in your search!
