Group submits bid for N.Y. thoroughbred racing franchise (USA Today)

The four groups vying to run New York's thoroughbred racing franchise have submitted their bids to Gov. Eliot Spitzer's office, the administration said Monday. The bidders are seeking the right to operate Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga race tracks and video slot machines at Aqueduct.
