Default What is a good age for McDonald's?

My fiance and I have been talking about a good time to have our kids like McDonald's. I told him I dont think they should really know about it until that are 8 or so. Because I dont want my kids to be unhealthy. But him and my parents said that I will lose the joy of them asking me all the time to go to mcdonald's and my kids playing with their happy meal toy. What do you think would be a good age for my kids to have their first experience with McDonalds?

Its not about how unhealthy McDonalds is, It how often you bring them there. My daughter enjoys going there, but I also know how to say No to her.

Fastfood in general causes way too many problems. My kids will rarely eat out. I'd say 18 is a good age to introduce kids to fastfood. Of course, that's not being realistic but they sure would be healthy!

The longer you wait to introduce your children to fast food, the better. McDonald's is unhealthy at any age. It is full of fat and processed foods. The more whole, unprocessed foods you can feed your children, the healthier they will be. Eating fast foods leads to obesity, early heart disease and elevated cholesterol levels.

Never, keep them away from it- our population is already overweight.

Hi there, why do you feel the need to take your children to McDonald's? If they haven't asked to go don't take them! There's absolutely no need for it, if you want to take them out for a treat then take them to the local pub/restaurant with a play zone, at least then if they fill up on sweet things they can have a run around and burn it off.

Wait until they ask (and they WILL ask) Until then teach them to make healthy choices. There's nothing wrong with indulging once in a while but theres no need to be taught how to eat badly, we all figure it out on our own.

I'm the wrong person to answer this question! My son's 1st outing (at three weeks old) was to McDonald's!Seriously, there's nothing wrong with introducing your little one to McDonald's early. It's a fun thing for a kid. Just don't overdo it, and you'll both be fine!
