Default Do you consider the name of the company?

A well-established company can be seen by the popularity of its name. Usually, the market would go for the something that is known to them. In selecting a franchise, do you consider if the company is popular or not?

Of course, in franchising I would consider the name of the company. For me, the reason why I would want to franchise is because I want to buy the name of the company. But when I was starting and had no experience, I just wanted a system where I could learn tidbits about managing one's own business. But in general, it all depends on how much are you willing to invest and what your main objective is.

I might consider the name for the reason that I dont have to worry on how to sell my products and how to negotiate to the supplier. Its an hustle free business.

Same here. I think it would be more risk if you would opt to have a franchise with a company who does not have a name in the market yet. Having a good name is also a symbol that the company has proven its worth.

There are plenty of companies around to invest to. But choosing a reputable company is important because you will be investing money. That's why it's always important to remember the fact that you must only invest what you can afford to lose.

It is really critical if we invest our money on companies who does not have that strong foundation yet at the market. It may cost us more money to buy a franchise on well-known companies rather than on small-time companies. But at least we are sure that we are working with a reputable company.

Yes you're right cessy. What's the use of investing a smaller amount in a small company when there's a greater chance of failure? That's why it's better to invest bigger and be sure than save and lose it all.

A company’s name speaks so much about itself. The name of the company is very important because it shows how far is the market range of the company. It is better to be a part of the company that is well known because it is like having guaranteed revenue.

Reputable companies have established a brand that they've worked so hard to build. Choosing a reputable company is a very good start. Don't be smothered by attractive offers. Do your research well to save yourself from failure.

I think that for starters, the only reason why any company would franchise is that they believe that their brand already has the following to sustain the expansion they intend; obviously the only reason why you pick one franchise over another is your belief that the "name" of that company will make it more profitable over other brands.
