Default Things to consider

Take a look at how many stores have opened and closed in the past several years to get an idea of the franchiser's expansion efforts and how other franchisees have fared. A really good indication that a brand works is that there are multi-unit franchisees. To get rich in the franchise business, you never do it on one store; you always do it on multiples. You're building a franchise company. Even if you're not thinking about building your franchise empire, it's still helpful to see that franchisees in particular system are able to achieve those heights of success.

It is really practical that you make a few researches on the target company you would like to buy a franchise. Weigh their strength over their weakness and observe how things are going for the company.

Yes, you are definitely right cessy. It's just like diving. You have to know the depth first before you take the plunge, otherwise you'll end up drowning.

That's also the same with franchising or choosing any business for that matter. You have to study everything first before you invest.

I agree with you richlanxsabelle on this one. A lot of people just go for luck without having so much thought about franchising first. It is very important to think a lot before making up your mind. It is our money at stake and it would be best if we put it into good use.

This is good advise for future franchisee. I would not only waste your money. You may not notice it you also lost the time and effort you render for the business. I know no one wants his business to fall in a short period of time. It would be frustrating to the owner as well.

A lot of money would be involved in putting up any business. Even if it's just a small cafeteria or convenience store, still the start up capital and effort you put in is very important and valuable. That is why you have to think a thousand times before making a decision. There's no turning back. Either you go straight to success or go down to failure.

Consider, aside from the business plan, the franchising and licensing agreements, and the capital required, the sort of manpower needed to run the business, and if people will be readily available to provide you with needed labor. You don't want to be the only guy behind the counter flipping burgers and buns and taking orders too.

Consider the franchising agreement being offered to you by the company. Read and understand carefully what is included in the offer and analyze if you would go for it or not.

Just be sure that the type of business you are entering is one of your interests so you could apply your ideas on it. Better research about it's necessary and unnecessary facts before plunging in.
