Correct me if im wrong... Starbucks does not franchise to individuals? Why is that so? Or if Starbucks does not sells the right to use its name, trademark, and products to individual business owners to open and operate businesses under the company's name. Hope that their merchandise product is open for franchising like their mugs and what not. Starbucks is an excellent business to venture out.

I am also wondering why Starbucks don't franchise since it possesses an unbelievable franchise value. There is this site that talked about "cannibalizing each other's shares."
