Default would you still buy starbucks if...?

i still have an email saved from a friend that has been circulating throughout the country for the past couple years. us troops in iraq asked starbucks if they would mind sending some coffee to them so they could feel at home. starbucks responded by saying that they will not send them coffee, because they do not support the war, therefore they will not support the troops by sending their products to them. now i do not drink coffee, but i was extremely embarassed for the troops sake, so i will never support starbucks as long as they feel that way. what do you all think?

No more Starbuck's coffee for me! I have been telling people not to support them since they won't support the troops. It doesn't matter what your oppinion is on the war..."support our troops...they protect and defend us."

I think that's an ugly thing to do. Supporting the war and supporting the troops are two separate things. Even a lot of the troops don't support the war! The troops, on the other hand, are going through a lot to have the job of protecting our country, and they need our support.

I have seen the same email and I do believe this is true, as my sister is retired Navy and all her Navy buddies had already told her about this. I don't drink coffee but I wouldn't give them my business because of this.

its probably a rumor started by some starbucks haters. people need to get over it. they make good coffee. they're successful thats the only reason people hate and don't support them.

The biggest coffee chain in Canada is Tim Hortons (we do have Starbucks too, but Tims is the most popular). And Tim Hortons actually opened up a store at a Canadian base in Kandahar so that our troops could have a little taste of home.Starbucks should take some lessons from them.EDIT: I'm glad someone thought about snopes.com, even if I forgot to. D'oh! I'm happy to hear it's not true about Starbucks. Cuz really, whether you support the war or not, people need their coffee, man!
