My first franchise is that of a pizza station. It is a cart-type of food service. I started it when I was in college. The franchise fee is low and I was able to get my investment in about 16 months. It was stationed in a school where a lot of students were used to buying cheap "fastfood".

Well your relative must be your inspiration. You're a successful business man in a very young age. I hope your experience would also encourage young pro to engage in such business. Thanks alot for sharing your experience.

Anyone still wants to share experiences would love to hear more successful stories.

My mom and dad tried to venture in the ice cream business. It was a small ice cream cart stationed inside a public high school. It was going really well at first because kids love ice cream. But we decided to close it because we learned that our service crew was stealing sales from us and we can’t find somebody else to attend to the ice cream cart.

Hi crazee, that is very disappointing that you need to close down not because you have poor sales but because someone is stealing money which is supposed to be your income. It's so hard to find someone to trust nowadays, especially when it comes to business and money matters. Why don't you reopen your business and try to find a family member who can take care of it.

Young investors can start franchising or have their own business at an early age. My cousin had just graduated from college in UK when he decided to go back to his country (which is in Asia) and start his own supermarket business. The cost of living in his country was low so he was able to afford it. But to bad, he died soon. Tragic but true. No one was left to supervise his supermarket.

That's very disappointing too, Audrey. But we have to accept life and we don't know when will God take us from Earth. I have no experience about franchising a business because I'd rather prefer to start on my own.

Yeah.

For some kind of business with low technology, that we can develop such technology by ourselves, it is not necessary to franchise. We can start this kind of business by ourselves.

For business with high tech, which needs great amount of investment if we start at the beginning, we can franchise it from others in order to cut the cost. Eg, our company has invested great capital in latest and most advanced voip technology and if people franchise it from us, they can access to this potentile business with very low cost.

In my opinion, if we do the things we like and also make great efforts, we will do it successfully.
