| | Re: Food Cart Franchise, profitable or not? Try to check on what type of food does that food cart has. Also, check the location first. Another reason why that business is not giving you much profit is because of there already exists a rival and the market is not that big. |

What kind of food does the food cart offer? You have to consider location and your target market. It's not wise to put an ice cream cart it a corporate area though it may have a number of food carts nor it won't be very much suggested to put a Hotdog stand or cart in a muslim region. They don't eat red meat anyway. Consider your location and target market. They go hand in hand.

| | Re: Food Cart Franchise, profitable or not? Determine the location based from the target customers of your food cart. Location is one of the most important things to consider before opening any type of business. One of the common causes of failure for food businesses is the quality of food. Be sure that even if you sell cheap food items, it tastes good. |

Food cart can be profitable. It all depends on what exact food you will be selling and the location of your food cart. Food cart can be very profitable in business places. Lots of employees would opt to buy cheaper foods in food carts than in the expensive restaurants that surround them.

Food carts may be profitable in places where people pay for convenience more than ambiance. However, the problem with food carts is that profits come in small streams so it may take much more products sold to achieve the same amount of profit a sit-in fast food or restaurant may generate.

To be more specific, I have seen some food carts on malls but then they didn't get that much attention even if what they sell is healthy. Just like a coconut juice stall that I've seen, I've been standing on the side waiting for someone and noticed that no one dares to be near on that store. I really wonder why?

time has proven that any food items do really sell.of course, we still have to consider which target market are we trying to tap.food cart business do sell but it won't sell that much but it sells and it does generate net sales.it will work if you have a fleet of foodcarts ,maybe of the same product or products that supplements your other cart.example,if you sell siomai (dumplings) in one of your cart then put a beverage cart near or beside it. separate the product mix. it will create more traffic and it will block other possible competitor in the area.

But you can sell drinks on your food cart of dumplings too , doesn't it? Customers might find your cart very accessible to all their needs. And also you won't have to spend again for another cart.

Attractive, Colored, Clean and Lighted Foodcarts. Your foodcart should not be expensive. What is important is it is attractive and with eye catching colorful design. The signage must be visible from all sides. If you are selling ice cream, your cart should be designed as a replica of the product you are selling. If you are selling salad, green colors must be visible. Green means good health. It is a matter of owner’s independent marketing strategies.its depend on you.
