The Great Frame Up Store features include:

  • A dramatic vertical viewing board for seeing the art as it would appear on a wall with corner samples of various mat and frame selections.
  • Full service options that allow the customer to frame the piece themselves at a workstation or have our trained store staff do it for them.
  • A large inventory of in-stock frames, mats, and glass.
  • A gallery of framed art plus unframed posters and prints.
  • Catalogs with thousands of additional prints to choose from.
  • Ready-made frames for standard sized photographs.
  • All the equipment you would need to create highly customized, quality picture frames at the store.

The Franchise Package

There are four key components that make up The Great Frame Up franchise package. In total, we seek to add complete value to your franchise purchase and store ownership.

1. The Store Concept 

Through over 25 years of experience and refinement, we deliver to you a store concept designed to help you capture the picture framing and art business in your local market. As described, our stores are warm, inviting, interactive, and designed to create an image that is both high quality and high touch.

We bring your store to life by providing blueprints, guidance on equipment and inventory, and management during construction. We help you create The Great Frame Up where customers enjoy shopping and visiting.

2. The Location

Location, location, location. It is the foundation for successful retailers everywhere. And we put a premium on helping you find the best home for your store.

Our perfect site is a strip center-type mall that is located near a large population of mid-to-upper income home owners. We seek a site that is easily accessible, very visible, and filled with other retailers that will attract our primary shopper who is a woman, 25+ years of age, whose household income puts her in the middle of the market and above. Other retailers could be boutiques, a salon, a bookstore, or a grocery store.

3. The Training

The Great Frame Up features an 10 day training program at our Franchise Support Center in Houston, Tx that covers all technical aspects of picture framing and art as well as store management and marketing.

It is designed to give you the skills to thrill every customer, from those that want a single mat and a metal frame to someone who wants to shadow box a bowling ball with suede.

4. The Marketing

The Great Frame Up is focused on providing you with comprehensive marketing support to build your presence and business in your local area.

For your new store, our marketing support starts with a 4 month introductory plan. It includes flyers, coupons, and other materials the month prior to your opening. It includes advertising and direct mail for your first soft opening month. It includes a community-based grand opening event. And it includes the beginning of your ongoing marketing efforts.

Once your store is up and running, our marketing support encompasses helping you prepare a marketing plan in the 1st quarter of every year. Plus a variety of programs all designed to build business among your customers and among prospects.

These programs include a Frequent Framer Program, a consumer newsletter called Great News, a high school support program called Creative Self Expression, and Commercial Selling materials to name a few.

Beyond the marketing support we provide to your individual store, we have radio and TV spots that you may choose to run in your local market. In addition, we also use the Internet to build more awareness for all stores.

To support these efforts, we have an in house marketing department. You and the other store owners are our one and only client. And our goal is to make The Great Frame Up the best known, best liked picture framing and art store in your community and around the country.
